Preschool and early childhood education are too expensive for working parents
Child care providers and educators struggle to make ends meet

The Marin County Child Care Initiative will generate $12.5 million annually to expand early childhood education.

The Initiative will:

Increase access to high-quality child care and early learning so kids start kindergarten ready to learn
Prevent child abuse and neglect by supporting safe, healthy places for children to learn and grow
Improve wages for childcare workers to support our children’s development
Ensure accountability with guaranteed public oversight and annual audits
